Frequently Asked Questions

This conference is available to everyone! Pastors, students, teachers, and parents can attend to equip their faith. In today’s world, why believe the Bible?

Seventy years ago, C.S. Lewis, in the preface of his landmark book Mere Christianity, advanced the factual reality of agreement on essential doctrinal truths (such as the Trinity, incarnation, the atonement, and the physical Resurrection of Jesus), which all theologically conservative denominations within Protestantism affirm. Lewis’s biographer Alister McGrath elucidates the “mere-Christian” core of Christian belief: “Mere Christianity is Lewis’s code word for a consensual form of Christianity that would carry wide acceptance across Christian denominations and wouldn’t contradict their core doctrines.”

Ever since I became a Christian, I have thought that the best, perhaps the only, service I could do for my unbelieving neighbours was to explain and defend the belief that has been common to nearly all Christians at all times.
—Mere Christianity, viii

As a ministry of Prestonwood Baptist Church, Prestonwood Christian Academy enthusiastically ascribes to the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 and Kingdom Education. Except for a possible debate-style event, PCA invites guest lecturers who affirm the cardinal doctrines of the Christian faith, or “Mere Christianity,” to inspire a fully orbed Christian worldview among our community. Lewis rightly stated,

When all is said (and truly said) about the divisions of Christendom, there remains, by God’s mercy, an enormous common ground.
—Christian Reflections, vii

Standing on the historic Christian faith as codified in Scripture and expressed in the early creeds, agreement of the atoning death of Christ and His Resurrection from the dead are central truths of the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:3–5). Finally, we also recognize there is room for charity, engagement, questions and even disagreement on secondary doctrines in the marketplace of Christian ideas.

Registration includes access to the conference all three days, livestreaming, and lunch on Monday (provided by Jason’s Deli). Attend in person, watch online, or any combination of the two.

The heart of this conference is to keep the cost affordable for all who wish to attend. Any school bringing groups of three or more can sign up for the School Ticket for a cheaper rate. Additionally, individuals who register before August 24 will pay an early bird price.

Once again, we’re kicking off the conference on Sunday with an evening session. Jeremiah Johnston will host a Q&A featuring Lee Strobel, Allie Beth Stuckey and Alisa Childers, including questions from the audience. Childcare is available for this session with registration.

Childcare will be provided on Sunday night during the evening session. This is included with registration, but you must preregister.

Yes! While the ideal is always to see you in person, this conference has a unique online experience that attendees across the globe have participated in. Livestreaming is included with registration – attend in person, watch online, or any combination of the two. More information on livestreaming will be sent following your registration.

Sponsors

We invite you to join us as a sponsor for Biblical Worldview Conference 2024. Prestonwood Christian Academy has produced this conference for students, educators and parents since 2005, and in recent years, Prestonwood Baptist Church has cohosted.

Last year’s conference included more than 4,400 registrants from 21 states and 57 schools and national media coverage. Most importantly, we saw numerous spiritual decisions, faith affirmed, and lives changed. Sixty percent of the audience are Gen-Z (born late 1990s to early 2000s); the rest are adults of all ages. Check out this great article from last year’s conference.
